A lot of people , especially rappers , are still trippin on the current state of hip hop. They blame low record sales on bootleggers, the internet, not enough promotion , etc. This may be true for some , but not everybody.
You still got cats out here sellin units. You got my nig T.I. , my dog Luda , dat boy Jeezy, Kanyeezy (Kanye), and a few other cats. And now you have Lil Wayne whose album sales recently past 3 million copies. When was the last time a rapper sold that many units? It's been a minute, real talk.
The fact that Tha Carter 3 went platinum in a week iz still kinda crazy, in my opinion. Even if you're not a fan of Weezy F. Baby (PLEASE SAY THE BABY), lol , you still gotta give dude his props. Its hard for MOST rappers to sell now-a-days. Even Soulja Boy flopped, GOT DAMN!...LMAO :-p
