People can say whatever they want about hip hop. Y'all can say its dead, its wack, whatever whatever. Me personally, I feel that hip hop iz very much alive. What people don't understand iz the fact that hip hop iz made up of these four elements : 1. the Dj , 2. the Emcee , 3. B-boys , and 4. Graffiti artist.
Now if you look at these four elements, you see that all four still exist. You still have Djs, you still have MCs, you still have B-boys, and you still have graffiti artist. Neither one of these elements are dead, therefore, hip hop iz very much alive. If anything, it has changed and evolved into what we see today. Real lyrical catz are pushed to the side, while the so called abc 123 rappers are the ones who are pushed out there to the public by these big record labels. I myself admit that its a lot of bullshit out here, but that doesn't mean that hip hop iz dead.
Real hip hop has always been in the streets. Real hip hop has always been underground. Hip hop exist in EVERY coast. East, West, Mid West, and yes the SOUTH. A lot people shit on the south because they hear Soulja Boy and Shawty Lo and assume that every rapper down south iz like that, BULLSHIT!!!! You got rappers down south who could go bar 4 bar wit ANYBODY from ANY COAST. Real talk. DON'T BELIEVE THE FUCKIN HYPE. The south really does have lyricist. Most of them are underground, some are major, but most underground.
What people, don't know iz, hip hop lyricist in the south go through the same thing that other coasts go through. The real MCs are pushed to the side, the ABC rappers are the ones who make it commercially. Every southern rapper doesn't lean wit it, or snap fingaz, so get off that bullshit!
Anyway, like I was sayin before, hip hop aint dead. You still have people out here who are still passionate about this art form on all levels. A lot dudes out here are seriously reppin for hip hop and will continue reppin hip hop forever. Hip hop iz not jus about rappin, its a whole culture, and that's what people forget.
